Klo Clothing (pronounced kae-low) was an online vintage store since 2023, carefully curating pieces & selling at local events in Chicago. What started as a thrifting hobby became an outlet to express ideas, connect with others, work with creatives, & share styles. It was always a passion to not only provide for customers, but to create something more.
What is “Sangre del Sol”?
“Sangre del Sol”, which translates to “Blood of the Sun”, was born as the very first clothing line collection. Inspired by Mexican culture, more specifically the genre of rock en español, it reminded me of what I grew up with. It was also made during a time of hardship, with no sense of direction, and a struggle with identity. After going on a journey of self-discovery, I found the one thing that healed me through the chaos: El Sol.
The Sun became a symbol of rebirth, hope, and a reminder that even in the darkest of times, the sun will shine again. Sacrifices & perseverance have made me grateful for the Sun’s energy; it brought me closer to my people & was a reminder of the power we create when we come together. But it also made me realize I would have to create my own energy to do the same for others, just as the Sun has done for me. Therefore, I am now the Sun who bleeds, and I will shine my light on those who have been through the same.
Sangre del Sol is more than clothing. It is about becoming el Sol, embracing the brightest side of who you truly are.
